Please find above a draft copy for consultation of the new 2013-2017 Strategic Plan for the English Colleges Football Association together with an opportunity for you to send us your feedback via a short survey.

Meeting the needs of our stakeholders is important to us and we are committed to meaningfully consulting and engaging with all those who are members of or partnered with our organisation.

Our strategic planning process includes three phases of consultation starting with a wide scan and finishing with a focus on detail.

Phase 1:

This 75 day consultation, which was launched at the ECFA National Football Development Conference on 30th April 2013 and runs until 14th July 2013, forms the first phase of our strategic planning process. This gives stakeholders the opportunity to tell us what they think of our strategic plan for 2013-2017.

Phase 2:

In the second phase, we will strengthen our strategic plan by reaching out to those groups who have not contributed to the consultation so far, but who may be impacted by our work. Through further focus groups and personal engagement, we will provide an opportunity for those stakeholders to help shape our plans.

Phase 3:

In the final phase, we will work with our current staff team and board to finalise the strategic plan and ensure maximum connectivity with operational plans for the 2013-2017 period. We will also feedback directly to all those who have contributed to this consultation on how your views have helped shape our future plans.

Summary

With a changing landscape in further education together with opportunities arising from our recent merger and close partnership with AoC Sport and The Football Association and commerical partners, it is more important than ever for the ECFA to prioritise what we do, and to use our resources effectively and demonstrate real value for money.

We aim to actively involve as many people as possible in this process and see it as an open conversation with our stakeholders right up to when we finalise our plan in October 2013.

The following link directs to the consultation survey, which you are invited to complete: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ECFAStrageticPlan .

It is important to be aware that this is a strategic plan which outlines the strategic direction that ECFA will set out to achieve and how we aim to do this. Operational detail is not contained within this document, this instead is housed within implementation plans.
